U2 Fasteners is an equal opportunity employer. Tasks and Responsibilities The Warehouse Worker is responsible to the Warehouse Managers for the ongoing organization and tidiness of the Warehouse. Duties include: receiving goods; re-packaging and labeling items for re-sale; filling and checking orders (using portable bar-code scanner devices); preparing shipments of items (packages, pallets, LTL shipments, etc.); communicating with other departments, supplier, and carriers; carrying out responsibilities using automated and computerized systems; taking inventory as requested; ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment; Other related duties; Reports To Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager Skills / Environment U2 Fasteners is ISO certified Incumbent will be a member of the warehouse team and will be assigned one or more mentors. The incumbent will work with others to coordinate tasks, share resources, plan, make decisions, negotiate, solve conflicts and complete other activities that involve teamwork. The incumbent will need good math and communications skills (oral and written). Ability to use hand-held and desktop computing devices is also required. Use of warehouse equipment (hand pallet jack, scales, wrapping machine, etc.) is part of the job. Ability to lift 50 pound boxes of fasteners is a requirement. Education Completion of Secondary School Other Requirements Hiring Preference will be for those with a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn new skills. Post secondary education in a relevant field and / or trade certification are assets.
